Letters of Advice and Recognition

From time to time, the CAC feels that it is important to make a more formal statement to the SELPA and the OUSD Administration and Board.  This statement may be a Letter of Recognition to make special note of efforts that result in great benefit to special education.  Or it may be an Advisory Letter, to identify issues affecting special education and to advise OUSD on what the CAC thinks should be done.

Anyone can bring a commendation or issue of concern to the CAC.  It is then up to the CAC Voting Members to determine if the information is significant enough to warrant a formal statement or if there are other ways to convey the information that may be more appropriate.

There are formal procedures in place for creating both of these types of letters which can be found here
